Deep Dish are delighted to be the official organisers of the UK Beach Tour Club Championships!
We will host this mega event on Sandbanks beach for hundreds of beach volleyballers from around the UK
The UKBT Club Championships give a chance for all beach volleyball clubs in the UK to compete against each other in a showdown like no other.
The Championships gives all levels of player an opportunity to compete with every result counting towards crowning the UKBT Club Champions. The event will be held over a single weekend, giving hundreds of players to compete alongside each other representing their club.

Below you can find all the information you need on what the Club Championships are. First you need to check if you and your club are eligible to compete
CLUB ELIGIBILITY

Clubs must organise at least one UKBT event in the current season to be eligible to compete at the UKBT Club Championships.
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
-
Hold a valid UKBT membership

Chosen their affiliated club on their UKBT profile

Attend regular training sessions at the club
-
Be cleared by the club to compete when UKBT checks entry
DIVISION 1
INFO

2 day event - Saturday & Sunday
-
2 teams of each gender per club
-
Entry via club selection process
FORMAT
-
Clubs will be placed in pools of 3, 4 or 5 (dependant on number of entries)

Clubs will compete as a squad of 2 teams. The highest ranked team on UKBT ranking will be Team 1 & the lowest ranked team will be Team 2.

Overall club seeding will be based on the total amount of UKBT points of both teams
-
Teams must stay in their original pairings throughout the tournament (excluding golden sets)

During a match the following format will be used:

Club A - Team 1 vs Club B - Team 2

Club A - Team 2 vs Club B - Team 1
-
Full FIVB scoring - 21, 21, 15 (2 clear)

Should it be a tie then a golden set will be played immediately following the match to 21 points

The team will be decided by the club and may consist of a mixture of players from Team 1 & 2

HOW TO ENTER
Division 1 entry will be the responsibility of the club leadership, selection criteria for the teams will be the sole responsibility of the club:

Entry Deadline 12th June

The club will nominate 2 teams per gender (8 athletes total).

Entry = £140 per gender (2 teams)

The club may replace players should an injury or an athlete becomes unavailable prior to the tournament. No replacements may be made after the tournament has begun.

Entry via organisers website (Club eligibility will be checked with the club prior to competition)
FORMAT

Teams will be placed in pools of 3, 4 or 5 (dependant on number of entries)

Pools will be seeded in accordance with UKBT seeding points - However the UKBT may alter seedings should a pool be made up of more than 2 teams from a single club

Reduced scoring will be used

Clubs may compete against fellow club teams throughout the tournament
HOW TO ENTER
Division 2 entry will be made directly through the organisers website:

Entry Deadline 28th June

Entry = £35 per team per tournament

Each team will have to state the club they wish to represent on the entry form

All teams will be checked with club leadership prior to the tournament start

WHO WINS?
Teams will be awarded points based on where they finish in their tournament:

A clubs total points will be calculated by adding the below together
-
Total points from the teams representing the club in Division 1

The points from the highest ranked team in each Division 2 tournament per club

The points from the lowest ranked team in each Division 2 tournament per club
-
An average of the remaining results from the teams in each Division 2 tournament per club

2023 VENUE
Deep Dish will be hosting the 2023 Club Championships on the beautiful Sandbanks beach in Poole, Dorset.
All entries will be through the Deep Dish website.
