COACH DAVE REPRESENTING WALES AT SMALL COUNTRIES INTERNATIONAL | INTERVIEW

In about 2 weeks time, Deep Dish Crystal Palace Coach Dave Panah, who you will likely have seen around, will be representing Team Wales at and International event, the SCA Zonal event in Scotland, with fellow Welsh Beach Volleyball player Connor Robins.

We're super excited for Dave, and wanted to hear what he had to say about the event!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU TO REPRESENT WALES?

"Playing for Wales was a long dream coming true, I was born in a different country but unconditionally loved and adopted by Welsh kindness, and I added more fire to the flame. Couldn't be more proud to represent the country of love."

WHAT ARE YOUR TARGETS FOR THIS COMPETITION?

"We came 5th in last year's event, and are aiming to get the shiniest medal this year."

DO YOU HAVE ANY HIGHLIGHTS IN A WALES VEST?

"We won the Beach All Nations tournament this year, and came 5th if small nations CEV last year!"

HOW HAVE YOU PREPARED FOR THIS TOURNAMENT?

"I have been training 5 to 6 times a week, and 7 am with some of the best players in the country. I've also dropped few pounds of fat and gained a few pounds of muscle, so I'm really looking forward to bring all that practice to our game."

ANY RIVALRIES YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO RENEWING WITHIN THE SMALL NATIONS?

"Luxembourg are in our radar. We lost a friendly to them, and its time to get revenge."

HOW WOULD YOUR PARTNER DESCRIBE YOU?

"Fast & Furious"

WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT FOR THIS EVENT?

"Being able to play a high level volleyball in the only CEV small countries of the year, representing the country I love."

We wish Dave and Connor the best of luck and can't wait for our Coach to bring back a medal!

Much love,

The Deep Dish Family
