THE BEACH EVENT OF THE YEAR

Deep Dish Beach are taking over Watergate Bay, Newquay to bring you the best beach volleyball event of the year!

On Saturday, 14th September, the best in Britain will be hitting the sand to compete for the ultimate titles: King and Queen of the Bay!

With tracks spinning, live commentary and plenty of centre-court games, we'll be bringing the best beach vibes to the bay!

And if watching the best beach volleyballers in the UK wasn't enough, we have a tonne of opportunities to get playing beach volleyball! Starting on Friday and finishing up on Sunday, you can sign up to learn how to play beach volleyball completely free of charge!

This event is completely free of charge, so get over to Watergate Bay, and get stuck in to a weekend full of beach volleyball!

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

SCRAMBLE TOURNAMENT

Join us for an open tournament format where anyone can join, regardless of level of play or age. Sign up as a individual and get randomly allocated a team to play a match. Then, let us know whether you won or lost that game. This is repeated for a number of matches. The players with a most wins play a final match on centre to determine the scramble tournament winners!

KING AND QUEEN OF THE BAY

We've invited 4 of the best players in the country in the male and female category.
Each player will play 3 matches. Each time, they will have a different partner, and a different opposing team. Eg: Round 1 | Players 1 & 2 vs 3 & 4, Round 2 | Players 1 & 3 vs 2 & 4, Round 3 | Players 1 & 4 vs 2 & 3
The King/Queen of the bay will be the individual with the best record across the 3 matches.

The first match will take place at 12pm and the final match will start at 5pm!

GIVE-IT-A-GO & SCRAMBLE SIGN UP

The Watergate Bay x Deep Dish 'Give-it-a-go' sessions | These sessions are free, and first-come, first-served. You will be run through a series of beginner beach volleyball drills where the coach will show you the basic skills of beach volleyball. You will also get the chance to play a few game style drills to put your skills straight to use!

We recommend families that want to play together join in with the all ages sessions! No children under 6 years may join any sessions.

Adult session participants must be 18 or over
